July 2023 Forays
What is this event?
MSU will be hosting it's July general forays (guided mushroom walks) in 2023. Sign up can be found below.
Foray Rules:
-You must RSVP to sign up.
-After a group is filled, registration will close and you will be asked if you would like to join the waitlist.
-If you register for more than one foray, all but your first registration will be deleted.
-If you are on more than one waitlist, all but your first waitlist registration will be deleted.
What should you bring?
The following items are not required but can be helpful as you're looking for fungi:

Basket

Wax bags
-
Knife
-
Trowel
-
Small brush
-
Water
-
A snack
-
Sunscreen
Who is able to attend?
Forays are an MSU-members event only. Not yet a member? Joining MSU can be done here:
Anything else?
Weather can change quickly so bring layers. Areas may be muddy.
Like all mushroom clubs nowadays, demand from people who want to attend forays is much higher than the supply of people who lead forays.
What can you do?
-RSVP immediately when you see a foray posted.
-Further your study of mushrooms so you too can lead. It is not necessary to be an expert, but the more experience you have will enable you to help newer people within the hobby.
-Shadow a foray leader.
